A company called Powerminster carries out any repairs to your home. When things get broken and need repairing, please tell them straight away.
Powerminster will repair most parts of tenants' homes.
Tenants don't have to pay any more money for this since the costs are covered in their rent unless the repair is a rechargeable repair. Read more about rechargeable repairs.
How to report repairs
When things need repairing please tell Powerminster straight away.
You can telephone 0845 241 6041 or email Powerminster to report a repair. You can telephone Powerminster to report a repair or your support worker, friend or relative can telephone on your behalf. This number is very busy between 9.00am-11.00am if your repair is not urgent phone outside these times.
We advise you keep a log of all repairs you report to us.
When you telephone, Powerminster will ask for the following information:
1. Your name
2. The property address and postcode
3. A telephone number
4. As much information about the repair as possible
5. When Powerminster can get access to the property
Sometimes they will need to arrange for a Repairs Inspector to contact the property before a repair can actually be ordered.
How long will it take to get things repaired?
We aim to complete repairs within 3 target times:
Emergency repairs e.g. a burst pipe - make safe within 24 hours
Urgent repairs e.g. blocked drains - completed within 5 working days
Non-urgent repairs e.g. window is sticking - completed within 28 working days
