New Progress Housing Association operates a choice based lettings sytem for vacant properties within the South Ribble and Preston areas, in conjunction with, Community Gateway Housing Association, Adactus Housing Association, Eaves Brook Housing Association, South Ribble Borough Council and Preston City Council.
Vacant properties owned by all the partners to the scheme are advertised on the SelectMove website www.selectmove.co.uk. The SelectMove website gives you further details of how the scheme works and our allocations policy. You can complete an application form online or download a version for you to print off and complete.
Once your application is accepted you will be told which band your application has been placed in and your registration number.
You need to use your registration number, together with your date of birth, to log into the SelectMove website and express an interest in vacant properties being advertised. Family, friends or support workers can help you express an interest in any vacant property as long as you give them permission to do so. In any lettings cycle (which starts on a Monday and lasts for 9 days) you can express an interest in up to 5 vacant properties.
Vacant properties can also be viewed in the Property Shop at our offices in Sumner House, Leyland, as well as public libraries throughout the South Ribble area.

Lettable standard
New Progress Housing Association has a standard to which all our empty properties will be re let to those on our waiting list. Our Tenant Inspectors are currently visiting a sample of our empty properties to make sure the standard is being met by our contractor. Our aim is to involve customers in reviewing the standard over the next six months.
A summary of the lettable standard is sent to all applicants who have an offer of accommodation made so that during the accompanied viewing of the property, customers can make sure that the condition of the property meets our standard.
