Foundations
Foundations and Inn2 is a New Progress managed scheme in the Avenham area of Preston for people experiencing homelessness. The two-storey building provides 22 self-contained flats and related support services.
The award-winning scheme, which opened in the summer of 2005, marked the first major partnership between Preston City Council and New Progress to create new housing. The government's Housing Corporation invested £2m in the project, with New Progress and Preston City Council jointly funding the remaining £364,000.
The scheme was officially opening in July 2006 by the Mayor of South Ribble and the Mayor of Preston .
Foundations is also the winner of the 'What we are proud of' Award at the
Northern Regional Finals of the National Housing Federation's (NHF) annual Neighbourhood awards. Read more about the Award here.
