Get Involved
If you've ever thought New Progress could do things better, then this section of the site is for you. It offers you a range of ways to tell us what you think about our services and tells you how you could become more involved with the way your home is managed.
Resident involvement - who can get involved?
We encourage as many people as possible to get involved in the way that we manage services, homes and communities regardless of race, ethnic origin, disability, nationality, gender, sexuality, religion or anything else that can lead to people feeling the are treated less favourably then others.
All our methods of consultation and involvement are open to everybody and need as little or as much of your time as you want them to. Your views are important to us and will be used to make changes to help improve the services we deliver.

Tenant Compact
Our tenant compact sets out how we will engage with our residents to collect their views, as well as setting out the responsibilities of tenants who get involved in our consultation process. We can supply you with a copy of our Tenant Compact in a variety of formats, so please let us know if you would like one.

Tenant Inspectors
We currently have a number of Tenant Inspectors who play a vital role in checking the quality of services that we provide. Tenant Inspectors carry out regular inspections on empty properties before they are let to ensure they meet the lettable standard. Their comments and opinions help shape the standard in which we work to and ensure that it is met.

If you would like to become a Tenant Inspector please contact our Community Investment Team on 01772 450842. Please note Tenant Inspectors work on a rotational basis and usually only carry out one inspection a quarter.
Community Groups
Our Community Investment Team: Steve O'Hagan - Community Investment Manager & Sian Coulton - Community Investment Officer.
NPHA currently support a number of Community Associations that work within a number of different areas where our tenants live. Associations meet at least once every quarter and membership is open to the community as a whole including the local Police, Councillors and Organisations. These associations make a real difference to a neighbourhood as they support change to really improve an area. Associations can take on a number of different challenges such as environmental improvements, activities for young people, fundraising events, clean up days and social events, all of which bring the community together and make a better place to live.
Two areas that have established Associations include Wade Hall with the Seven Stars Community Association and F.A.R.R.I.A. at Accrington. We have also recently set up Associations in the Broadfield, Penwortham and Buckshaw Village areas.
All the groups encourage new members to come along to their meetings to share views and opinions on ways in which the community can be improved. They also help make sure things happen.
If you would like any information on your local group or would like to discuss the possibility of setting up an Association for your area please contact the Community Investment Team on 01772 450842.
