Property Repairs

As landlord of the property, Progress Care Housing will repair most parts of tenants' homes. Tenants don't have to pay any more money for this since the costs are covered in their rent.

How to get things repaired when they go wrong
•  When things need repairing please tell us straight away.
•  You can telephone or email us to report a repair.
•  You can report repairs to our Repairs Contact Centre click here for details.
•  We advise you keep a log of all repairs you report to us.

How to report repairs
When you telephone the repairs contact centre you will be asked for the following information:
1. Your name
2. The property address
3. A telephone number so we can contact you
4. As much information about the repair as possible
5. When we can get access to the property

Sometimes the repairs contact centre staff will need to arrange for one of our Repairs Inspectors to contact the property before a repair can actually be ordered.

How long will it take to get things repaired?
We aim to complete repairs within 3 target times:
E
mergency repairs e.g. a burst pipe - make safe within 24 hours
Urgent repairs e.g. blocked drains - completed within 5 working days
Non-urgent repairs e.g. window is sticking - completed within 20 working days

For more information regarding repair times please see pages 29 -31 of the Tenant's Handbook. Click here to download the Tenant's Handbook.

If the tenant, or their Support Provider on their behalf, says a repair is an emergency when it isn't then they will be charged the full cost of the repair. (For further examples of when the cost of repairs may be recharged click here)
